Creamy Hazelnut Butter

Instead of buying Nutella with loaded of sugar this one is easiest butter recipe anyone can make at home. With this DIY butter recipe you can make any nut butter, make yourself delicious almond butter, macadamia butter, peanut butter, walnut_almond butter and list goes on.

Only one thing to remember for making your hazelnut butter really nice and creamy, need to remove the skin from the nuts, because they are kind of dry, tough and fibrous.
The best and easiest way to do that is to toast them in the microwave oven(also can bake in oven), then transfer them to a clean dish towel, hold towel together making pouch and rub them together with hand so that they grind against each other.

Food process them until they turn into this beautiful creamy Hazelnut Butter.

Yield:  2 cups
Time : 7-9 minutes

Ingredients:
2 cups Organic Raw Hazelnuts
1-2 tbsp of Organic Raw Honey(optional)
2-4 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil(optional)

Method:

1. Put hazelnuts in flat microwave dish. Microwave on high heat for 1 minute, toss and again microwave on high heat for one more minute. Mostly 2 minutes are enough, let it cool a liitle bit and check if its cover is loosen or not. If not then again microwave for 30 seconds and check again. Beware do not over roast it.

2.  While they are still warm, transfer the nuts to a clean dish towel. Hold towel ends together making pouch and rub them together with hand so that they grind against each other.

3. Transfer the nuts(remove all excess skin) to the bowl of your food processor.

4. Process the nuts until they turn into a creamy butter, about 4-5 minutes. While Processing add Honey and Olive oil or any other flavorings.
5. Transfer to a glass jar with a tight fitting lid.

6. Enjoy with toast, bread or just a spoonful of relish :)

Note:
1. Hazelnuts can also bake/roast in oven. Spread hazelnuts onto a baking sheet and roast in a 375F oven for 10-15 minutes.
2. No need to refrigerate, will last on shelf for 1 month.
