Moong Dal Flour Barfi

Moong dal Flour Barfi is one of the delicous and Healthy sweet made on Diwali. They are rich, sweet dessert-snack made from gently roasted moond dal flour. 



Time: 20 minutes + cooling time
Yeild: 20-25 Pieces

Ingredients:
2 cups Moong dal Flour
4 tbsp Semolina
1/2 cup Clarified butter(ghee)
3/4 cups Sugar
4 tbsp  Almonds(sliced/chopped)
1/2 tsp Cardamom seeds powder
1 tbsp Pistachios
(sliced/chopped)

Method:

1. Add the moong dal flour, semolina and ghee in a large frying pan and mix.


2. Roast mixture on medium heat until becomes light golden brown in color takes about 10-15 minutes. Stir the mixture continuously with a spatula to prevent burning.

3. Remove pan from the heat and let moong dal flour cool to a warm temperature. 

4. While the mixture is still warm, add cardamom powder, chopped almonds, and sugar. Mix well.

5. Grease tray with ghee or lay parchment paper. Add moong dal flour mixture. Pat it with spoon to even top surface.

6. Garnish with sliced pistachios and again press them with spoon.

7. Leave them aside. Once completely cooled cut into desired shapes. 

8. Store barfies in an airtight container for 2 to 3 weeks.
