Potatoes are always comfort food. This recipe is very simply, quick and tasty. Even made on Indian fast day replacing garam masala with roasted cumin seed powder.
Time: 10 minutes
Serve: 2-3
Ingredients:
2 cup potatoes(sliced thinly)
1 tsp red chilli powder(adjust to taste)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp garam masala
few tbsp coriander leaves(chopped)
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp mustard seeds
few curry leaves
2 tbsp olive oil
salt to taste
sugar to taste
water
Method:
1. Wash potatoes, remove its skin and slice thinly. Put potato slices in water.
2. Heat oil in non stick pan, add cumin, mustard seeds and curry leaves.
3. Once splutter add red chilli powder, turmeric powder. Quickly add sliced potatoes. Saute well for few seconds.
4. Now add garam masala, sugar, salt to taste and little water. Mix well.
5. Cover the pan with lid and cook on low heat for about 5 minutes.
6. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot.
